Samuel Hörding Persson was born 28/3 in Sänninge, Linderås.
He married Christina Nilsdotter from Dockarp 27/12 1777 one year before Sara was born- the mother of Anna-Greta. He was then 21 years old. They had 4 children: Sara Samuelsdotter 1772-1860(- the mother of Anna-Greta,) Samuel Hörding 1781-, Anders Hörding 1784-, Johannes Hörding 1787-1860
He became a soldier Nr 65 in Norra Wedbo Compani, Högemålen soldattorp in Linderås. He was 175 cm tall. He was commanded to the Russian war 1788-1790 under Gustav III. He walked from Skillingaryd to Carlskrona and took part in the battle of Hogland. A fleet of 15 swedish ships were on their way the 17 juli 1788 to attack Sankt Petersburg but met a fleet of 17 ships from the russian fleet at Hogland. After a day of cannon fire not one ship was shot down, but each side had succeeded to conquer a ship each from the other side. They both proclaimed victory. 
Samuel then continued into Finland i august 1788 to Ratelaö (?). After that he continued to Svenskby in april 1789 (?) and were part of the battle of Kuopio during the winter 1789-90 and stayed in territories behind Kymmine. There was a peacecommand 1786 at the camp of Bonarp.(?)
He died 8/2 1790 – 33 years old in Finland. (?*)
Samuel probably had a brother Lars Hörding 1766- 1808 27/12. He belonged to the same Company Norra Vedbo. He was married to Catharina Johansdotter born 14/2 1772
