Hedda ‘Hattie’ LOVISA/e Isacsson 13/6 1843 – 3/1 1926

Hedda Lovisa Johannisdotter was born in Sötåsa Södergård 13/6. She moved out from Sötåsa when she was 21 years old  1864-65 to Åsen North Farm and worked as a maid whereafter she moved to Åsen South Farm 1/1 1866. Her older sister Christina had been there before her and her little brother Johan August joined her as a farmhand 1867. This was the year of starvation in Småland as the harvest went very wrong.  She moved back to Sötåsa 19/11 1868 (the day of her brother Johan Augusts birthday) Then again she moved away to work as a maid one year later in Nov 1869 to Svartemålen  where she stayed for one year til 14/11 1870 as she moves home to Sötåsa again.

As the Church had their yearly examinations she always had good grades (a-ab)

She emigrated to the US April 21 1871.

She married Swan Johan Isacsson, born Oct. 2, 1831, in Sweden. This was 1870 – They lived in Moline, Rock island , Illinois as did her sisters Ida Charlotta and Lottie– Augusta Charlotta.

 

Swan and Hattie  had 6 children:

1. Emma  23/5 1873 . 30/7 1873

2. Minnie 30/6 1874 – 9/7 1874

3. John Emil  1875

4.  Esther C B July 1877,

5. Oscar P 1879

6. Alice E Sep. 1882.

Hedda Lovisa passed away 82 years old in Moline, Rock island and is buried in Riverside cemetery with the rest of her family. This is where her husband Swan also is buried 1913- 13 years before her.
