Amelia is born in Ingelsbo in Småland, Sweden  24/10.

She emigrates to the US 1885 – 21 years old. She settles in Chicago, Ill. where her older sister Hilma is already since 1882.

When she is 24, 1888 she marries Peter Gustaf  Peterson, 30 who also came from Sweden 1885. He is registered working with Electric supplies.

They will have 7 children: Arthur, Oscar, Verner, Esther, Gunhild, Pearl and Helen.

By 1918 they live at 5129 Carpenter str in Chicago
