Edith K Johnson was born in Grandy, Stanchfield, Isanti county Minnesota. She was the daughter of Karl Viktor and Betsy Englund. The third child of 3. Her oldest brother Emmanuel died only 1 year old.

She went to Elm Park school in the area.

She farmed in Grandy, Mn. together with her family, Later 1920 they bought another farm: Dansare farm in Cambridge. She was 30 years when her father died. Her mother Betsy lived until she was 49 years old. She farmed together with her 4 year older brother Clarence until he died 1976 when she was 79 years old. After some time she moved back to Grandy in Stanchfield, to the Linwood home.

She was a social person who loved to be a hostess and loved coffee with doughnuts or ice cream and loved visiting with neighbours and friends. She also loved gardening.

Edith survived all of her immediate family but had many cousins and friends. Before she died she lived 6 years at the Cambridge Health Center.

She became 103 years old!

She is buried at Stanchfield Baptist Church Cemetery
