Linnart Larsson 1585 – 1646

Linnart was born in Glassås.

He married Marit Jönsdotter.

He had Jon  at the age of 41.

He died at the age of 61 at Levde the same year as his wife Marit. Jon was then 20 years old.

During the 17th century the Southern part of Sweden, Skåne, had become Swedish in the wars between Sweden and Denmark. Skåne had belonged to Denmark for hundreds of years and people were not happy about it but were forced to learn Swedish and were slowly ‘Swedenized’. In this way Småland, situated north of Skåne then became more peaceful.

The Nordic 7year-war took place 1563-70 started by Denmark. The peace was settled in Stettin and Sweden pays 150000 daler to get back Älsvborg (West of Småland)
