As Runes older 5 children, he was born at Byarum, Vaggeryd in Småland. He had 4 sisters and they were Nora 12, Mallan 11, Birgit 8 and Märta 5 and 1 brother Vide 9 years old. As he was 3 years old he got a little sister Margareta.

Rune was a true explorer. He was a History teacher and wrote ….pages thick thesis of the times in Swedish history around the 1600s. He explored the world and was a real world-traveller. He explored all the continents. Even Antarctica after he had turned 80 years old. His favourite country was Tibet and he met Dalai Lama. He supported building schools there. He tied close bonds to people there and came back many times.

He also explored our family history.  Rune was our Genology father and is the one we may thank that we all have the knowledge of each other. He spent hours and hours researching our roots in church-books around Sweden and he went to the US to look for relatives and found them.

In this picture in 1996 in one of the Reunions is is surrounded by sisters and cousins: from left Sisters Birgit Blomdahl-Nilsson and Märta Blomdahl-Lindqvister, cousin Nils-Erik Johansson (Isak), cousins Maj-Britt Neij-Fönnebö (Elisabeth), Hugo, Willis and Willow Palm. To the right of him Loydy Paerson-Smith (Maria) and Margret Johansson (Tekla) (Parenthesis =parents name)

 Not long before he died he told Annika (in the picture) that his favourite memory was going on the bus-roof in Tibet together with a pig on the way to its slaughter… He was laughing about it.

Rune is buried in Svenarum church where his grandparents and family are buried.
