Karl Viktor Johnson August 29 1854 – Nov 26 1927

Karl Viktor was born in Sötåsa August 29, 1854

He came to the US 1881 and settled for two years in the city of Moline where his sisters were living.

He then moved to Minnesota and became a Farmer in Grandy, Stanchfield, Mn. not very far from where Gustaf Fredrik, his oldest brother had settled:

His oldest brother Gustaf Fredrik had settled in Springvale, Isanti county.- See C in map above. He was living there since 10 years as one of the three first emigrants of the siblings.

His older sister Emma Sofia with her very big family was also living in Minnesota………………….

His younger sister Matilda was also residing here. She had emigrated the same year to the US…………………

May 4, 1888- at the age of 34, he married Betsy Englund from Jämtland, Sweden. She was 22- 12 years younger than him. She was born in Sweden 17/7 1866 and had come to the US 1882 with her parents Hans and Brita Englund who had settled as farmers in Cambridge, Isanti, Minnesota. In the map you see that her brothers Andrew at Golden Willows farm and Nils R Englund are neighbouring their farm.

3. Edith K Johnson 18/8 1897 – 25/11 2000

1920 Carl Wiktor sold the farm in Stanchfield and bought another one known as Dansare farm in Cambridge county.

The two children stayed at the farm unmarried and continued the farming after their parents died.

Karl Viktor- later registered as Charles/Charlie Wiktor, died in 1927- 73 years old survived by his wife Betsey.
Betsy died in Grandy, Stanchfield, Mn. April 11 1946 79 years old and survived Karl by 19 years.
