\u00a0Holger was the first born of the children of Judith<\/a> and Rudolf. He was born in Lincoln, Nebraska to where his parents had emigrated from Sweden Oct 1911.<\/span>\"<\/a><\/span>\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Nov 23 1914 little sister\u00a0Lillian<\/a>\u00a0is born.<\/p>\n

Little brother\u00a0Hugo<\/a>\u00a0is \u00a0born in July 1916- baby on the picture above.<\/p>\n

1917 one day, little sister Lillian gets a cold. After a few days Mother Maria puts her on the terrace to sleep in the fresh air. A day or two after this she gets pneumonia and dies. Judith and Rudolf are devastated and Judith starts longing for home and family in Sweden.<\/p>\n

Not long after Lillian dies\u00a01917 Holger breaks his arm. He is now 5 years old. \u00a0It is in the middle of WorldWar I in Europe and this hinders them to go back. The family decides to move up to where Maria and her daughter Arvida lives in Canada in \u00a0August 4, 1917. Here they live in a simple house in a farm close to her sister Marias family.<\/p>\n

Holger met a girl, Alva and love came into his life<\/p>\n
