Richard was the son of Florence Tyden Groos<\/a> and Rickard A Groos and was born in Evanston, Illinois.<\/p>\n

He traveled with his mother and grandfather Emil Tyden<\/a> \u00a0to Sweden when he was 8 years old, 11 of August 1938, on the ship Kungsholm<\/a>, between Gothenburg and NewYork. His grandfather was then 73 years old.<\/p>\n

He married Ethel, born 1932?. They have 4 children: Catherine, Nicholas, Fred,\u00a0Tom.<\/p>\n

He picked up the family tradition becoming the head of Viking corp. and Tyden International Lock&Seal co later followed by his son Tom Groose.<\/p>\n
